    Hi Inga,

I felt compelled to write you after finishing ‘Understory’. I’m now in a post-book depression. A whole lot of coincidences joined together over the course of reading your book, and things clicked for me that go way back to my childhood. Your book has had a massive impact on me, and I wanted to thank you for helping me reconcile lost parts of my childhood that have only started to come together over the last eight months or so. Like you, it seems, I am an ironbark woman – specifically, Eucalyptus fibrosa.
    With deep thanks,

Hi CJ – thanks so much!
So glad you enjoyed. And for the book to have such an impact. Ironbark women are made of very strong stuff.

    hi Inga
i just wanted to thank you for writing under story , its rare that i read a book and just happened to see a review and by chance found a copy in my local bookstore.
I so enjoyed it , you have put into words a lot of my own experiences with trees and forests , which i have always found hard to articulate for me are feelings or vibrations more than words , trees and plants communicating it does feel like ancient knowledge that we are starting to grasp the concept now ,knowledge the tribal elders and native peoples have always known.
This is a profound story of interlocking beings thank you so much for writing it ,i am sorry you are selling your cottage , i can understand how difficult that would be for you .

i wish you all the best and hope you continue nature writing look forward to reading
    your new and older books

    Hi Inga
I started with ‘Where the trees were’, thanks to a review in an issue of ‘Good Reading’ found in my local library. Loved it so much then borrowed ‘Mr Wigg’ and ‘Nest’. With each book I deliberately slowed down my reading pace to make the enjoyment last longer. Most of your characters are people I would like to know they are so well rounded.
I bought ‘Understory’ recently and what a wonderful exploration of nature. Thank you for such wonderful books and I am so looking forward to ‘Willow’.

Thanks, Ann, for this lovely feedback. 🙂

    Hello Inga,
I thoroughly enjoyed Understory and was enchanted by the cover.
Could you please give me the name and contact of your artist? I’ve passed my copy of
your book to a friend and so don’t have the artist’s reference.
    Many thanks,
